Nita A. Porterfield

Nita A. Porterfield, 80, of Powhatan, passed away July 13, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmitt and her son David. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Porterfield; son, Douglas Porterfield both of Powhatan; sister, Betty A. Foster of Farmville; three grandchildren; Paige Miller (Zach), Dustin Porterfield (Becca), Adam Porterfield and two great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday the 21st from 6 to 8 pm in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy.(Rt.60), Powhatan. Memorial services will be held Saturday the 22nd at 11 am in the May Memorial Baptist Church, Powhatan. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Powhatan Animal Shelter.
