Patricia Marie Aspinwall

Patricia Marie Aspinwall, 73, died unexpectedly on August 15, 2025 in Powhatan, Virginia her home for over 30 years. Pat was born on December 20, 1951 to Gloria (nee Rosica) and William Aspinwall. Pat grew up in the small town of Tuckahoe, New Jersey, never forgot her roots and was happiest with her hands in the dirt, at the end of a fishing pole, or snapping beautiful photos of her beloved birds.Pat is survived by her mother Gloria Aspinwall to whom she devoted much of her life, her brother Timothy Aspinwall and his wife Marilyn, Carmella Farrar and her husband Allan. She was the daughter of the late William Carmen Aspinwall, sister of the late William T. Aspinwall and Stephen D. Aspinwall. Pat had many friends whom she met in her 40 plus years as a social worker. She loved her neighbors and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. She was known for her compassion and dedication to her clients and all those she served in her capacity as a social worker. Pat was the consummate counselor and could talk with anyone, anywhere, anytime. An avid birder, photographer and gardener she loved nature and found peace feeding her birds, snapping beautiful photos of them, walking the fields of Amelia, and planting her flowers.Pat will be deeply missed by her family, friends and colleagues.
