Patricia ("Tricia") Jean Bersano, 71, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026, after a long battle with dementia. Born on April 4, 1955, Tricia lived a life marked by creativity, artistry, and passion for the things she loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvoline Stevens and Wilbur George Stevens.Tricia is survived by her husband, David Bersano; her daughter, Isabelle Lieberbaum and son-in-law, Mark Lieberbaum; her grandson, Mason Lieberbaum; her sisters, Kathy McArthur and Pam Keller; her brother, Doug Stevens; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Tricia graduated from George Mason University with a degree in Business and later earned a degree in Interior Design from Virginia Commonwealth University. She combined her business background with her artistic vision to build a successful career, owning and operating Bersano & Bersano Interior Design in the Fan District for more than 20 years.
Creativity was at the center of Tricia's life. In addition to her interior design work, she designed and handcrafted doll beds known as "The Couture Dollbed," complete with hand-sewn linens, eventually receiving a patent for her unique design. She had a remarkable eye for detail and a talent for transforming ideas into beautiful, meaningful creations.
Horses were one of Tricia's greatest passions. Her love for riding and caring for them inspired her to leave the Fan and create a home with a barn and property in Powhatan where she could fully embrace that part of her life.
Tricia will be remembered for her artistic talent, entrepreneurial spirit, and the many beautiful things she created throughout her life.
