Rose Marie Sledd, 93 of Alberta, native of Powhatan Virginia, passed away April 16, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Julian Sledd of 50 years; daughter, Janet Whichard; sister, Katherine Newton. 

She is survived by her children, Joan Flannagan (Frank) Julie Seppelt (Dave), Charles J. Sledd, Jr.; grandchildren, Katie Shiflett (Gabe), Nicky Pettry (Rachel), Ryan Pettry (Bri) and Maddie Seppelt (Jamal); great-grandchildren, Christian, Liam, Reid, Kendall, Bradley and Bentley; niece, Rebecca Sherman (Frank) and her special friend, H.H. Webb.

The family will receive friends Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home. Where a service will be held at 12:00 pm. Interment Private. Online condolences may be made at bennettbardenfh.com
