Sheila Joyce Payne

Sheila Joyce Payne, 64 of Powhatan, Virginia, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on October 26, 2023. She is survived by her loving husband, David Payne, Jr.; children, Tammy Cook (Steve), Tina Wray (Chad), Gin Chapman (Scott); grandchildren, Katelyn, Jacob, Lily, Krysten, Lizzie; sisters Susie Worsham (Kevin), Sharon Smith (Preston), Sherri Blevins (Fairley) and Connie Hounshell (Chuck). Sheila was a proud employee of Powhatan Public Schools for over 40 years and was blessed to touch the lives of many children and families. The family will receive friends Sunday October, 29 2023, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home and where services will be held Monday,  2:00 pm.
