Sidney Alan Stokes

STOKES, Sidney Alan, 80, of Powhatan, went to be with his Lord, November 10, 2012. He is survived by four daughters, Betsy S. Lewis of Powhatan, Diane S. Jones, of North Carolina, Amy S. Wingfield of Powhatan, Jenny S. Easter of Powhatan; sister, Ruth Boatwright of Powhatan; brother, Stuart Stokes; grandchildren, Ethan, Taylor, Lane Scott, Christian, Libby, Sidney Kate, Haven, Cameron, Mason. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Jessup Stokes and son, Sidney A. Stokes, Jr. The family will receive friends Tuesday (tonight) from 6 to 8 pm at the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy. (Rt. 60), Powhatan. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 11 am at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Interment church cemetery.
