Sue A. Yarhouse, 89 of Chesterfield, VA, passed away peacefully on Sept. 9, 2026. Sue was born and raised in Wise Co., Va and came to Richmond in 1960 to attend nursing college at The Medical College of Virginia. She was from a family of 10 children. The Love of the Virginia Mountains and her family never left her heart.

She had many talents and was very involved with arts and crafts, from ceramic casting to toll painting. She was a talented seamstress and magic with patterns on fabric at her Singer sewing machines.She had many life long devoted friends, whom she all outlived. Many were from Calvary Baptist Church of Midlothian, VA, where she was a member for many years.

Sue was preceded in death by her loving husband, Aaron C. Yarhouse, Jr. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Louise A. Snodgrass of Wise, VA.She leaves behind her only son, Douglas W. Yarhouse and his wife, Michelle C. Yarhouse; 3 grandchildren who were her whole world later in life, Nathanial, Ella and Benjamin Yarhouse.

There will be a graveside service for family and friends at Bermuda Memorial Gardens, off Enon Church Road in Bermuda Hundred VA. on Monday September 28, 2026 at 12:00 Noon.
