Susan Elaine Roehm, 66, of Powhatan, went to be with the Lord Thursday July 23, 2026. She was born in Kingsport, TN on Oct 19, 1959 to Trigg and Helen Hurd

She was preceded in death by her father, Trigg Hurd.

She is survived by her mother, Helen Hurd; husband, Christopher Roehm; daughters, Rachel (Frankie) Short, Kelly (Greg) Thomlin, Greg Palmore, Christy Gilcrease and her husband Levi Fuhrman; grandchildren, Bradley, Hayden, Cody, Tessa, Emma; sisters, Lisa Richards, Jenny Estep, Kathy Dodson; and her dog, Sadie.

She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was devoted in her faith. She loved like no other. She loved country and gospel music, horses, lighthouses, and her dog Sadie.

The family will receive friends 5pm to 7pm Monday at Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, where her service will be held 2pm Tuesday. Interment will follow in Powhatan Community Cemetery.
