Theodore “Ted” Ramsey, Jr. 88, of Powhatan, Virginia, passed away March 26, 2026. He is predeceased by his son David Wayne Ramsey, parents, Theodore Ramsey and Berkeley Rose Ramsey. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Kathryn Ramsey: daughters, Sharon Ramsey Gibbs (Tim), Robin Ramsey Miller (Nick); grandsons, Phillip M Gibbs (Nikki), Jacob T Gibbs, Noah H Miller, Wesley P Miller; brothers, Jim Ramsey and John Ramsey; and sister Deanna Lefevers.

 Ted retired from AT&T as a communications technician. He was well known across Powhatan County and beyond for his technical and mechanical abilities as he could fix most anything that was broken or in need of repair. He contributed countless volunteer hours to Huguenot Academy and also volunteered with Powhatan Rescue Squad and Huguenot Volunteer Fire Department where he established the county's first emergency communications system.

The family will receive friends Thursday April 2, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home and where services will be held Friday at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Powhatan Volunteer Rescue Squad or Huguenot Volunteer Fire Department.
