Virgie Lee Powell, 87, of Powhatan, widow of Alton Powell, Sr., passed away September 5, 2016. She is survived by three sons, Alton Powell, Jr. of Chesterfield, Michael Powell (Wanda) of South Boston, Timothy W. Powell of North Carolina; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy.(Rt.60), Powhatan.
