William "Buster" David Cable Jr passed away May 28, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, William "Pete" Cable Sr and V Mary Andrews Cable. He is survived by his devoted companion of 39 years, Wanda Williamson; his sons, Mike Cable Sr (Donna) and Jonathan Cable (Kelli); step daughters, Angela Clarke and Sandy Robbins; grandchildren, Mike Cable Jr (Mckenzie) and Courtney Cable Gentile (Richie); great-grandchildren, Ayden, Harper, Gannon and Bridger; sister, Barbara Lang and a host of devoted friends.

Buster worked for Chesterfield County for 47 1/2 years before retiring in 2015. He was a farmer, an avid outdoorsman, a loyal friend and a kind hearted soul. He never met a stranger. He enjoyed his Frisby's friends and friends from the community surrounding the farm.

The family will receive visitors Thursday June 1 at Bennett Barden Funeral Home from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. A private family service will be held at a later date.
