Willis "Bill" Francis Dickson

Dickson, Willis (Bill) Francis of Cumberland, VA departed this life for his heavenly home on August 10, 2020. Bill was born on June 7, 1939 in Lynchburg, VA to the late George and Frances Dickson. He is preceeded in death by his brother, George H. Dickson and two grandchildren, Spencer and Sarah Dickson. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia Dickson of Cumberland, VA, his sister, Virginia H. Deihl of Springfield, IL; his children, Lisa Corbin (Kyle) of Dillwyn, VA, Timothy Dickson of Powhatan, VA, Troy Dickson (Veronica) of Powhatan, VA, and George W. Dickson (Nicole) of Cumberland, VA; 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was a retired fireman/medic with the Richmond Fire Department and a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army. Due to the ongoing pandemic the Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a local charity of your choice. Bennett and Barden Funeral Home of Powhatan, VA is handling the arrangements.
